International Conference on Advanced Lighting Science and Technology

The International Advanced Lighting Science and Technology (ALST) originated from a series of LS conferences sponsored by the International Light Source Committee (ILSC). Since 1973, when it was first successfully held in Loughborough, UK, LS Conference has been successfully held for 14 sessions. LS Conference is a top international conference for scientists, engineers and technicians in the field of lighting to discuss the development of Lighting Science and technology. It is a leading wind vane in the field of international light source and lighting. In 2007, LS:11 was successfully held at Fudan University in Shanghai, China, with the largest conference size and specifications ever held.

With the development of Lighting Science and technology in China, more and more people in the lighting field, such as scientific research, design, manufacturing and engineering, are eager to understand the international lighting frontier technology and trends. Through cooperation with FAST-LS, the Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Advanced Lighting Technology Education of Fudan University introduced the high-level report of LS Conference and the advanced technology related to lighting industry to China in a timely and systematic manner. This will be one of the most advanced lighting science and technology in the world and one of the economic and efficient measures to promote the rapid development of lighting industry in China. The first ALST Science and Technology Conference will be held in Fudan University from 21 to 22 March 2015.
