Recently, the International Lighting Commission (CIE) issued the International Standard CIES025:2015 "Test Method for LED Lamps, Lamps and Modules", which is the first international standard for testing methods of LED products in the world, or will be called the most influential test standard in the industry. This standard was initially proposed by Professor Pan Jiangen, a distant photoelectric professor in China. Under the organization of the National Lighting Electrical Standards Committee's Substandard Committee for Radiometric Measurement, China has also set up a corresponding standard working group. On the one hand, many Chinese opinions have been put forward for this international standard, on the other hand, it has also been transformed into a full technical standard for our country. Prepare.
CIES025 was formulated by the Technical Committee TC2-71 of the second division of CIE. At the beginning of the establishment of the standard, CIE signed an agreement with the European Technical Committee for Standardization (CEN), which will also be issued and implemented as the European Standard (EN). According to the CIE process, the standard will soon be transformed into a formal ISO standard through the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). In addition, the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) has also approached CIE. IEC will not translate this standard, but will quote directly when it comes to relevant content.
Accurate and reliable measurement of photochroma parameters of LED products is the basic requirement for evaluating product performance and designing lighting system. It is necessary to ensure the consistency of data measured in different laboratories in order to achieve the comparison of different products under the same benchmark. It is based on this concept that CIES025 puts forward high reproducibility requirements for photometric and chroma testing of LED lamps, lamps and modules, as well as suggestions for related test data reporting. The measurement parameters include total light flux, light efficiency, partial light flux, light intensity distribution, central light intensity, brightness, brightness distribution, color coordinates, correlation color temperature, color rendering index and role uniformity.
At present, the standard can be purchased on the official CIE website for 219 euros, and members of the CIE National Committee can enjoy a 3% discount.
